Drug Uses
Propecia is applied in cases of pattern hair loss (pelade) in men.
How Taken
Basicly, Propecia is taken once a day but the therapy pattern may vary depending on your condition. Please ask the advice of your doctor prior to starting taking the medicine. The best results are achieved when a patient takes the medication for 3 months in a row. Try to not break the dosing schedule for if you stop the therapy untimely all the effect will cease presently.
Drug Class and Mechanism
Propecia does not permit testosterone from furhter conversion into dihydrotestosterone (DHT) which is responsible for the so-called dihydrotestosterone (DHT) and ensuing pelade.
Missed Dose
If your doctor prescribed you taking Propecia on a regular basis and you have missed taking a dose, take one as soon as you remember to. If it is almost time for you to take another dose skip he missed one and don't take two doses of Propecia at once trying to catch up with your dosing schedule.
Storage
Propecia should be kept in a cool dry place out of the reach of children and domestic animals.
Warnings/Precautions
Your doctor needs to consider the possibilities of your taking Propecia as the drug is not recommended for the use of people with liver problems, urinary tract disorders, prostate cancer and various kind allergies to the medication ingredients. Present your doctor your complete medic history. Please, keep in mind that Propecia is easily absorbed though skin pores, therefore it is strongly prohibited for pregnant women to take Propecia in hands if the film cover of the tablet has been damaged for there is a considerable risk for a male foetus (finasterid can cause serious damage to the forming genitals of the male foetus). There is no information as to the ability of the drug to get into the breast milk, but anyway the drug has not been designed to work in women.
Possible Side Effects
The list of Propecia side effect is rather short: it features erectile dysfunction, decrease in libido or smaller amount of sperm ejaculated. However, if these symptoms become bothersome or persistent or you have noticed some other deviations from norm in your health conditions, please consult your doctor right away.
